I want you to feel as prepared as possible for your session, so please take a look at the information provided below for all the goods. If you have any questions, shoot me an email and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Preparing for your Senior Portrait Session
You’ve booked your shoot, now what?
First off, let me just say, CONGRATS!! What an exciting time for you! I am so excited to spend time with you as we work together to showcase your big moment. My goal, always, is to make this as fun and laid back as possible for you. Being on the other side of the camera can make people uncomfortable, it is my job to make sure you don’t. Below are some tips and notes on how you can best prepare for your session.
Via email we will discuss location, exact session time, wardrobe and answer any questions you may have. You can expect to hear from me 5-7 days before your shoot, but you can always contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
I generally shoot early in the morning or just before the sun goes down. Mid-day, the sun is often too harsh, if that is the only time that works for you, we will plan our location accordingly.
Your senior session can be shot in two different locations (w/i a fifteen minute drive) or we can do them all in one spot. Many of my clients like to bring a few different outfits for variety, and I encourage that if that feels right for you. Some examples: a nicer outfit, a more casual look and perhaps a sports uniform. It really depends on the student. For these sessions, I suggest no more than three outfits.
As cheesy as it might be, I usually recommend taking a look at Pinterest for inspo on your upcoming shoot. You can also show up with no clue and leave the vision up to me….I’ve got you.
Here are a few notes to help you prepare for your session with me.
Length Of Session:
My senior sessions generally last about I.5 - 2 hours.
Props:
I absolutely encourage props (ie: skateboard, guitar, pom poms) if they are something you really identify with and it would make your photos more meaningful to you.
Please arrive and/or be ready to start on time:
Remember, your session is scheduled according to light. It is important that we start on time. Please plan for traffic or parking constraints. It's best to arrive early.
I can’t wait to capture you! See you soon!
